There are at least 5 legitimate flying clubs in Canberra but I think these guys are sorts of rebels who fly anywhere. I have heard of them through rumours and rumours are not always reliable. I have the feeling alcohol may be involved. Perhaps if any of them read RC Groups.com they might like to put us right.

By the way I belong to two of the clubs in Canberra, NSFC and QMAC. I fly helis at one and planks at the other. The majority of the members are middle aged and old farts. Lovely guys who value their equipment and the sport.

Love Canberra nonetheless! Begin there with the Navy. Great folks, awesome museum, and wonderful weather. Outside us, Australia is the only place I've been to that I could live (been to Asian, Russia, Europe, England, and Central America)

Wouldn't quite say it's the worst of OZ, we do have much bigger problems than the destruction of a little radio control plane BUT

it is a silly video and a bit of a waste IMHO - you"ll never catch me doing that to my planes.

Have you been to Washington DC lately. We have our own hot air, so I'm used to it. The area in Cambra was very nice and the folks friendly. Awesome war museum!

My gawd people....

Not bashing Canberra in the slightest....I suppose my only thoughts were that it's rather disturbing seeing Australian youths acting so foolishly; I'm very used to seeing American youths acting like imbiciles who have nothing better to do than smash and destroy perfectly good model planes, etc. I just didn't expect to see that sort of behavior from the land down under...that's all.

And now back to the Radian Pro....please

Got my batteries charging right now hoping to have some good enough weather tomorrow to maiden my RP. After I loaded Lizardman's setup into my DX8 I've spent the last couple nights sitting with the plane without the prop installed going through all the switches, flight modes ect... Trying to memorize what everything does. Not that I'm going to use anything but launch mode, cruise, flaps and the motor kill switch for the first few flights though.

I think I'm ready for it! Thanks Lizardman for the setup, everything is working as you said it should!!
