An expert might comment that it's not perfect or correct, but this setup has served me well. I carry a flight logger and have never registered a single hold, even at high altitudes.

My radio and satellite receiver setup:

Hi Coreman,
Indeed we all have opinions.
Sadly, not all of us have manners and respect to others.

Unfortunately some people cannot deal with seeing opinions different from their own without being compelled to insult and/or cast doubt on the truthfullness of any opinion other than their own.

Brgds,
Danny

Can we all go back to discussing the RP now?

You came in here saying that your RP didn't fly well on its maiden, I told you it could be due to lack of lift, a fault with your plane, or a lack of experience with gliders on your part and you accused me of sarcasm and empt statements.

I would have thought you'd be happy to know that your glider wasn't a dud by design and that is just needed some better conditions or minor adjustments, but no:

Sorry my answers weren't long and detailed enough for you.

R Pro antenna placement

Thanks to all that responded, especially Gerry for the picture showing his antenna routing. Also I am not upset with the shopworker for not removing the airframe. It is secured quite well with ties and I did not want to mislead him that I was considering purchasing it from him. I expected to learn a few things by putting in my own Rx anyway.
This forum is great ! Thanks to all those who figure out how to do something a little better and share your knowledge. I have been reading some pages every night ( quite a few left to go). Someone gets an idea & then it gets better. Have fun all. I look forward to my RP

They sure look nice when they are brand new!

As I recall, with the stock AR600, they recommend that the end of the long antenna be oriented 90 degrees from the end of the short antenna. Mine came taped under the canopy similar to what is shown in your picture.

Same principal applies with a satellite receiver.

No kidding. Here is a picture of mine for contrast...and a short video of cruising around up on the mountain. Yesterday, I wanted to go slope soaring but there was almost no wind. I decided to take a video anyway, and try to keep it fairly close to the camera. That meant a bunch of short motor runs to keep it just above the horizon.

Those servo bumper things have served me well for a long time. They have survived some rough treatment, including rattling along for distances over rough ice. That sharp rock that leapt up off the ground and jabbed into the wing was more than it could take. I'm hoping the servo is still ok, and then it will be an easy fix.

Slope soaring attempt (1 min 41 sec)
