Very nice Bill; Now you need a twin coil for it. I did run my old Viking Twin on the test stand using 2 coils, 2 sets of batteries, and two transistors. It worked just fine, but way to much weight for a plane. There are a few twin coils around. If you don't have one, I have seen a few on e-bay. I don't know of anyone making them anymore. Of course, If you are like me with an engine like that, you probably won't fly it anyway. But they sure are fun to run.

1947 OK twin 120 This is one beautifully made ignition engine and I'm putting it under my pillow tonight......I don't care what she says.

Hi Bill, amazing find! I see the posts about twin coils- Are you thinking of actually running it?

I might Jeff, unlike glow engines you do not have to worry about rusted bearings once you run the ignition engine.
Would like to hear it atleast once. Actually have another one coming as well just a couple of years older, 1945.

Mmmm... ignition treasures???

Here is a true ignition jewel I just received, with gold plated head and timer arms.

Based on a OS 10FP-S , a few engines have been customized by Reginald Luyck (RLE custom) some years ago, this one is #010.

Maybe not very useful on a plane but a real pleasure for the eyes!

Very nice and unusual piece for sure! I'm really enjoying this thread for the unique engines you guys are posting. Many of which I'd never even heard of before. Thanks to all

Hey rapmoz; Very nice ign. mod. I have a friend that did some OSFP-40's with timers for flying in Old Time Ign. Stunt events. They ran so well that they outlawed them from competition. Now we have to use original or eligable repro's. Another friend in Wichita Ks. added a timer to a Fox 35, and a Cox .049. They ran superbly.

I would love to see a photo or a video of a spark ignition Cox .049 !

By the way, what has been the tiniest spark ignition engine ever commercialized?

As far as I know the Atom .097 produced in 1939 is the smallest one. Anybody know of anything smaller?

Same size more or less is the Arden .09 (.099).

Speaking of atoms, would anyone happen to have the manual that came with the atom
.09?
