Who will be the first to try the new GWS Motor?

Take a look at the new motor GWS is coming out with. Looks like some wings are going to need to be beefed up a little for this baby. I know this should probably go in the Power System Forum but I was wondering what Parkflyers it might be used on. I am thinking it would be great on a Slowstick. Might have to do a bit of altering on the hood of my Dandy to fit it in there as well.

Link the the GWS page:EPSD

From Mr. Lin's thread:

"4 types gear ratios.
A type : (M0.4) 60T/16T=3.75
B type : (M0.4) 62T/14T=4.43
C type : (M0.4) 64T/12T=5.33
D type : (M0.4) 66T/10T=6.60

4 types motors choice.
GW/EPSD350 x 2
GW/EPSD300 x 2
GW/EPSD150 x 2
GW/EPSD300H x 2

For those who's dictionary can not find "OVER POWER"."

Oops, just looked at it closer. So, what is this motor intended to replace? EPS 300s?

Holy Hawkeye. Well, given the success of the IPSD, it was bound to happen.

Tres,
Two brushless in that gearbox! I don't know what plane you would put it in, but it sure wouldn't be called a "parkflyer"! Perhaps you should contact NASA and see what it takes to become a subcontractor?

==Ohhh Tres <hangs head>.......==

I only do these things as a service to you, the E Zone reader

==MUST........ RESIST .............TEMPTATION.==

"Resist"? What is this strange new word?

==Perhaps you should contact NASA and see what it takes to become a subcontractor? ==

I got in lots of trouble with them over the whole 3:1 thrust-to-weight ratio thing on the Tiny X And the 010 Mini Speedwing didn't help, I'm still on probation

==So are you going to strap that baby on your Tiny X Tres?==

Yes, 6:1 thrust-to-weight, here we come! LOL! No, just kidding Still, it is an intriguing idea for a slightly bigger plane. Motor startup might be iffy though. The Razors in particular do some wierd things on startup. But can you imagine? I bet you could turn a 16" prop on that setup! It could fly a 2 or 3 pound plane! At less than 2 ounces for the motors, say another ounce for the gearbox and .8 oz. for 2 Phoenix 10's. 3.8 oz plus 2s2p 1200's at 4 oz. gives a very strong (and long-running) power plant at under 8 oz.

==I nominate Bar Stools' 48" 'IfoSaurus' for dual razors ==

Oh my gosh, look at that beast! That's crazy, I like it of course How well does it fly?

Looks heavy. I can't believe they're still going to mount that on a stick.

Yeah, lets burn out 2 sp300 motors instead on 1.

They should last longer since they're spinning the right direction now.... of course, I'm still gonna run 8cells packs...

and hopefully one 30amp ESC can run both motors in parallel... on my SS.
