Yeah, I'd rather not fly than freeze my hands and that makes me pretty cranky. It's nice to help keep the batteries warm in the TX too.

Nope

Other way around; it becomes a precision tool in the hands of an expert like myself

Hi all,
I'm blaming you for our wonderful weather. It's a whopping 47`F in Tucson and we're 1000ft higher. I don't know about you, but this is more to my likings for cold weather flight...my hands never get cold.
walkera UFO#8 (2 min 30 sec)

in general, all my stuff will fly indoors. I do use a bit more caution, though. This thing is pretty harmless. I did cut my nose on one of the rings on the props.

no more calls from Raytheon. If that WAS a coincidence...just friggen spooky. I still don't know what to think.

regards,
Bill

Hey guys, here is something that has kicked the barn door wide open on personal computer technology. Forget everything you know about how a computer should look and perform.

Quite a new development. Very easy to leave behind somewhere. I have an Android 3.2 version tablet and love it.

It certainly has been quiet around here again. Of course it is December and a bit chilly outside even here, in the Tropic of Vancouver. It is not hard to think of something else better to do than stand in the middle of an open field for an hour freezing your butt off flying a R/C aircraft or driving a vehicle on the frozen ground. On the other hand, we have all done it. I may get out on Sunday if it warms up a bit. If not, it is sim time for me.

Think about what can be done with that Cotton Candy computer. It is light enough to be used in R/C. As a USB device, it only pulls 5 VDC and no more than .5 amps. This means we could have embedded devices that put some very serious computer power in our devices. I am thinking about sophisticated navigational devices.

There are a lot of possibilities. I grew up making crystal radios when I was young, we sure have come a long ways.the past 10 years technology has advanced in leaps anÓd bounds. Give them another year or two and they may have that USB device on a mini compact flash card.

On quads, way point GPS isn't too wow anymore. Imagine what the govt is doing, if we get to have this cool stuff?
