Looks like Hurricane Sandy has a bit of Canadian content from as far away as the west coast. Check out this link.

I can't say there is a lot of effect out this way. Even the 7.7 magnitude earthquake we had last night did not have a lot of effect because it was in a pretty remote region and even the people that live there only reported a little bit of shaking.

The weather here so far has been dry but cloudy. I just got back from the field and it was a busy place today. More and more mulitrotors are showing up. I can't really call them "quads" because we have four prop, three prop and six prop machines at least. More and more guys are going the FPV route as well.

To better answer your question regarding Sandy, as I understand the link I posted, the west coast weather is having more of an effect on Sandy than Sandy is having on the west coast. We have a huge low pressure area that is starting to drift across the continent. When that ridge reaches the east coast, it will have the effect of pulling the east coast weather patterns inland. In this case, it could decide when and where Sandy strikes the east coast.

SB, I just saw that on the national weather map. It doesn't look to organized though. I see Ontario will be getting a soaking and a bit windy too. Right now it's just drizzling and wind is at 26mph (41km/h) and will be gusting to 70mph (112 km/h) by 5 tonight.

Ryan, Durk, you Guys should hunker down. I can't believe the long arm on "Sandy"...like I said, 500 miles.

Multi rotors "are" getting very popular. And the FPV looks awesome. I'd love to try that some day if I ever get the opportunity. I'm really loving the Champ and my Bud is waiting for a Carbon Cub. I'm slowly discovering that helis are a royal PITA to fix as apposed to planes. I still like them though because I can still fly them in my back yard.

Hey do any of you Guys get email to "Test Flite" that's sponsored by Hobby King (i think)? Josh & Josh...funny Guys

Out here on the west coast, we are still getting 6.3 magnitude after shocks from yesterday's earthquake off of our northern coast.

It seems that Typhoon Son Tinh is kicking major behind in Viet Nam.

I'm seeing nothing good being forecast about Sandy slamming the east coast. Mother Nature is right royal p***** off at the moment.

In the U.S., it looks like it won't matter who is elected. Mother Nature is making it VERY CLEAR who is in charge.

Raz, are you still with us? The reports this morning say Ontario got a serious "smack-down" last night with more to come today.
