Hey Raz, I couldn't help but notice in that video that it was totally focused on highly privileged, First World folks with lots of bucks who could afford to send their kids to extremely exclusive private schools. I wonder what the "trickle down" would be in a working class area of Sudbury or in East Los Angeles? Big box stores showing product commercials on big screens to poor folks?

What saddens me is that we are raising kids to rely TO MUCH on computers. They can't think for themselves. When was the last time a young person "actually" counted your change back after a purchase? They give you back change whatever the register says even if it says $1000.00 when it should be $1.00.

True story: My weed whacker ran out of line one day and I filled the spool the wrong way. My "young" Nephew exclaimed, he will go in on his computer and find out which way the line goes on I looked at him and said.."seriously Dan, it's a 50/50 shot, if it didn't work this way, we'll wind it on the other way." Common sense has escaped our young folks and has gone out the window. Really sad when you think of it.

Yes and no. If you like ornis, avitron is neat. Mine is cool but I feel kind of 'whatever' about it. There's not much challenge to it once you get the hang of it. I think My old modded ifly vamp was just as good if not better. I don't regret buying it, it's a really neat design. I have to be careful because I'm use to the bigger more 'hobby-grade' versions so I have to make sure I'm not comparing it to that

It is what it is.

My mini pet micro quad is far more challenging and will get more air time than my micro bird.....(was also only $40 bucks!)

I kind of like the idea of a small orni for indoor flight.

Are they fairly maneuverable?

I got a chuckle out of that hospital part. That definitely is not a hospital that poor people could even afford to park in the parking lot. That place is totally first tier, private and expensive as heck. Corning has certainly blown it on the accessibility to technology angle.

Yeah, total garbage, for sure! It's too bad, there are some really neat toys but then they good and make them infared or some crap like that.

Something I got a little while back is a little drift car. It's called a Takara Tomy and it's really cool. Toy grade and crappy tx, yes, but fun and controllable once you get the hang of drifting it. Throttle and steering is either on or off....no proportional control but it works out ok on this toy. You can find a bunch of vids on youtbe:

Takara Tomy Drift RC: How to Play - Part 04 (2 min 40 sec)

To all you folks on the eastern seaboard. Wish you all the best with Hurricane Sandy. Be safe, be prepared and don't take any chances. Don't try to be a hero. Mother Nature is rolling through and she has a damn serious attitude. Be careful.
