58 inches is a healthy wing span. You are going to need some serious "big air" to appreciate it. Take it easy with that Walkera. Ryan, we wish you (and all other living creatures nearby) success on your maidens. A couple of guys in my club fly factory built Yaks. Those are amazing slow stick aircraft. They can almost hover like a heli.

I want to get some serious video work done this weekend. This is the first weekend in awhile that nothing seems to be booked which would take priority. I am strapping on double lipo packs for the quad.

I got a very pleasant surprise yesterday There was a genuine, unsolicited, hard copy catalogue from Hobby King in the mail. I had never seen such a thing before. I know Horizons sends outs some stuff. This is the first I've seen of one from an Asian on-line retailer. They have a lot of interesting products including Sterling engines. I've always wanted one of those but it is expensive for something that will wind up just sitting on a shelf.

I finally got to the club field this morning. Got in some good flight time with both the Trex 550 and the DJI F450 quad. I had a chance to give the GoPro Hero2 a workout as well. That is one very nice camera. Yesterday I dropped by my LHS. He was allowing demos of the Nano CP X. I tried it. I liked it a lot better than the MCX. There seems to be more control than with the MCX. Be warned, this is a 150% indoor flyer. We saw the Horizon video on the Nano CP X. It was really funny. I figure that video was about Take 47. Of course what can you expect from a Horizon video. I did not have any over-whelming urges to buy the Nano CP X. I have enough stuff already that I am not flying. I do know some of the club guys did buy them.

Ryan, how did your maidens go?

Good

I also bought nano cpx and its a blast

Crashed master cp yesterday and stripped servo (hard to see as its dark colors). I ordered some hitec hs5055mg for it which will fix it good

It's 6 axis is impressive and its durable considering

Nano cpx is awesome; flips and rolls on first flight lol.

Ultra durable as well; and best part of all

No tail blow outs

Tonight I was managing crude pitch flips with way too much collective and tail held excellent

Very happy and it should be a great indoor flyer

Ryan was nice enough to let me bind to the Nano today and give it a go and it's a very well behaved little flier, lots of fun and light as a feather. We were flying in wind it probably had no business flying in and it flew great.

Glad you guys like the Nano CP X I forgot to mention yesterday that my LHS quickly discovered that the landing skid is definitely a "HIGH MORTALITY" part that does not like hard or rough landings especially on asphalt. As I said earler, this appears to be a total inside aircraft that likes carpets to land on and maybe large cardboard to take off from. If you read the box, it says that it is designed for the indoors and "not to damage furniture".

Spoken by the guy that has been known to slam dunk a heli into a basketball hoop.

Good God! Really? Four years ago? Time flys, I really must say. Ryan, I think we need some vids of you flying a heli or quad through a basketball net doing a perfect and graceful 'swish'. I think that then and only then will this be left in the past
