World War II PT-boat restoration reaches milestone, PT-305

Good to see another one of the few PT boats being restored...

Interesting to see how many PT hulls, etc. survive. Kinda sad to see how few have been or are being restored. I was a bit surprised to see that Higgins survivors outnumber ELCO survivors; somehow didn't expect that.

Jeepers, it may be that the Higgins boats were built a bit more robustly than the ELCOs. I read somewhere that they were designed to be beached for repairs in a pinch, and if you look at the hull lines, they did have a wide, flat keel.
