Hey Guys,

I have the JTM L-39 and T-45 and I stongly recommend the Bohetec C21 retracts over any others on the market at this time. The RCLanders won't handle the weight of the almost 10lb JTM planes and the JTM retracts have quite a bit of play and the side rails won't hold up to anything but greased landings on paved runways. I have about a dozen flights on the L-39 with the JTM retracts and I have had to order the Bohetec retracts to replace my bent up JTM's. My only other recommendation would be to go to the other extreme and wedge in some Eflite 60-120 electric retracts that should handle plenty of rough landings on a 10lb plane.

SpringAirs would be another tough choice, am about to talk to them about a set that will take the struts, hopefully they can put something together that everyone can access.

Do you guys think the elevator's covering-type hinge is strong enough?

Just got back from Desert Storm Jet rally, got 2 flights on the t-45 today. Lots of people comment on how nice the plane is, was able to mix it up with the big turbines no problem!

Altecare rc out of Canada has the behotec or bohetec retracts. The C21s are the ticket for a 90mm jet

Is there clearance on the behotecs for a real strut? It's hard to explain but the Springair 602's can only use a wire strut because of the location of the hole on the trunion. When in the "up" position, an 8mm dia strut will hit the pneumatic cylinder and not allow them to retract all the way.

Here is my final gear option. The rclanders are just way to heavy. SO i'm gona use the freewing 4mm retracts with the CMP struts. Less work to drop them in to.

Danny,I weighed the Jet Teng retracts that I got for my Jet Teng T-45 and with all the components came out to about 12oz.I believe that's what your weight test showed on the RC Lander electrics.I sent my Jet Tengs back, because I just have decided that eletric is going to be so much more reliable.I guess my question is,for a 9-10lb plane,I think it will take retractsthat are probably in this 12oz weight catergory, don't you think?I have the RC Landers on the way and I am going with those, because they are about the same weight as the Jet Tengs I was going to use,but electric and I think will be more reliable.

these are lighter but for sure not as tuff as the rclanders. Mike is having a blast with his eflites so I though I give these a shot since they are 4mm. Pretty much "a drop in". Lets see how they handle before doing the rclanders. Installing the rclanders takes some butchering.
