Oh baby this is a nice model for the price, just got the Nitroplanes deal too, $139 w/ free shipping. It will take me some time to get started on it, but $140 shipped was too good to pass up.

-------

Question about fan choice.

I was thinking about my power system for it. I have settled on the Midi Pro on 10S and 1300kv 3674. I'm guessing this will consume around 70A peak.

Does this sound about right?

Think I might over RPM the fan? I have read they are very robust, but I never used one before.

Just received my T-45 yesterday unpacked it today. In very good shape slight paint chip on rt intake thats it. The markings on the intakes line up something that was off on the first few rounds . I think CMP and Nitro got it right this time. Will use 8s system and RC Landers retracts. I hope HK get there problems fixed with the BAE Hawk I want one of them too.

If it's a true Wemotec MIDI Pro, then you are fine. That is going to be a nice setup. Just keep the weight in check.

Got mine on Monday. Unpacked it and was very impressed. I haven't checked the paint job on the fuse, but everything else looked top-notch.

I've been wanting the HK Hawk, but from what I've read, those that got it are missing parts and have had a few QC problems already. Too bad, because it's a beautiful bird, but given that this is the same airframe, albeit better QC, and considering the HUGE difference in price (taking shipping into account), I am quite happy.

I've ordered a Tacon 90mm 1700KV motor and the CS 12-blade 90mm fan (I have the 70mm 10-blade version and the sound is B-E-A-U-TEEFUL)

Will probably go 6S initially and then 8S.

Thanks for the confirmation. I am going to use 2 x 4000mah 35c 5S batts, so while it won't be light, it should be manageable.

Just got mine, NP has some of the best composite plane deals out there now and this is one of them.

Also was reading through thread and saw cockpit from HK and it's a must have upgrade, going to fly mine on 12s also and try to keep it under 6lbs....

12s 2250mah 65c batts that is, using a hoaye 7 blade rotor, an 810kv inrunner and a castle 45 amp ESC. Should net me around 7lbs of thrust but not pull more than 50 amps WOT, been flying with high C batteries...gotta use a timer when amps are low cause knee is very sharp.

Waiting on corona servos to come in now.

Question, anyone else running theres without intake ducting? If so is it affecting anything, thrust etc?

Thx in advance for any input

Ah, yes, look like good servos, was actually thinking of using them on rudder and flaps. I'm going with the Turnigy D-MG16 on elevator and aileron.
