Just got one of these in front of me.

Close to the same size, although wing and stabs are smaller chord than the JTM.

This has built up wings and stabs, and does not have a full flying stab arrangement.

Not too bad for $200 bucks, although the canopy could be better - that thing is as flimsy as a piece of bare monokote!

Wouldn't trust that ductiing for much more than 2kw... but it will be a sweet 6s setup for cheap!

One thing about the "JTM" all the little works done for ya just add servo's and gear edf unit.

I am at the point of purchasing a power system for this. I realize nobody has flown one yet, but what do you guys think? Debating between ARC 36-75-1 on 8s-3300, or ARC 36-65-1 on 6s-5000. Will be using a MIDIfan. Any suggestions?

marv, looking good! that setup will make for some short flights though. expect 4 min max. that system pulls 85-90A depending on packs.

cant wait to hear how it goes!

should have LOTS of power as that setup makes about 8 lbs of thrust.

I'll be using A Nue 1415 1.5y and Midi fan 8's ice 100 esc and some Hyperion 45c 3300mAH packs i already have with only 2 flights on them. No need to go to a Nue 15xx size eats up the packs faster from my experience in my bigger jets.

Weight of plane with everything plus packs - minus motor esc & fan 5.2lbs.

Working on the gear door next and making better wheel covers for the mains, more closer to the real T-45's gear doors.

Oh yea for pilots I will be using world models 1/7 scale pilots ordered them yesterday.

Yeah ,

I Think i can get 4 minutes with good throtle mangement, I'm not to hard on the sticks, on the "JTM" Hawk I was only pulling 2600 to 2900mAH out 4200mAH packs. And never hit 3000mAh of usage out all the flights. One reason why i chose the 1415 doesn't kill the batterys like the 15xx series does.

In the video i takeoff at 1 minute into the video and land a little after 5 1/2 minutes .

(O & I) - that's me with the CMPro T-45 arriving soon. As you said, this is a "Replica Trainer" - it implies to me that I will need a "Replica Instructor". You bet, someone will fly it for me, until I got "trained".

At a wing loading of 108 to 116 grams/dm^2 (per spec), this plane has to fly fast- The wing is small.

But what the heck, it will be a good "build - experience".

Marv - you are Marv-elous. Thanks. One thought I am considering: Full flying tailerons. Here is why - my first edf plane was a Freewing F-15 64mm EDF. After the vendor replaced the motor and esc, it started to fly until the impeller blades detached from the hub. A floater, it was not difficult to land. After repair, it flew but with a strong tendency to pitch up. I cut the horizontal stab and reduced the incidence angle. If it were a full flying stab, I think incidenc angle adjustment would be an easier fix. Besides, taileron may be configured "balanced" for less load on the servo.

Your thoughts, gentlemen.
