Hehehe indeed !! well i did not program really, but used it to poll data from retail shops for a large clothing firm...

however it was a great system/machine, uncrashable !!

though weird if you are used to the consumer apple as well as windows systems.... xD

Ha! I once attended an IBM Floggi^H^H^H^Hmarketing session held for all the major banks in Australia, where the IBM exec proudly demonstrated "windows" via AS400. This consisted of ASCI dashes & plus signs etc creating various rectangles on the screen, which could each contain separate data.

When I spoke up from the back of the room that they shouldn't call them windows, but "holes in the wall", everybody laughed in agreement, except the marketing type out front. Soon the room was filled with other IBM suits trying to save what was a total PR disaster.....

My first job was on the Burroughs B6700/B6800, $1,400,000 computers that ran off of a 2,000 amp power supply. The architecture was so efficient that the same basic shell is still used.
