Hi Dan
Yes I ask Mark about the F16 a couple of weeks ago and he said that he had none and that he would probably not be getting anymore. Don't know if he is going to concentrate on the composites (HET and JTM)in future. I have stalled a bit on the L39 as I need to get some money together to get the servos now. Also ran into a problem with the retracts. JTM have re-engineered these as they found that their retracts were too soft to fly off grass for this weight of model. Kev and I both asked JTM(through Mark) if they would exchange ours for the new ones, we even offered to pay the cost of freight both ways. They refused to exchange but instead Mark has managed to get them to agree to provide both of us with a set of the new ones at a reduced cost. That was a couple of weeks ago but so far we have not seen any signs of them being sent. Mark reckons that they are being difficult to deal with at the moment so I guess we will see what happens Paul |

I haven't compared it to any radars etc so can't vouch for its accuracy but looks to be about right. |

Great day flying the EF-16 today, though the conditions were extremely foggy, it was the first opportunity I've had to fly it in relatively calm air; what a wonderful flying edf! The ceiling got as low as 100' at times, and at WOT the plane would quickly just fade away into the clouds, (you may be able to notice that in the video). I mostly putted around at half throttle, and kept it close to not lose site of it. The white base color of the foam blended in with the clouds despite the red stripes, losing sight of the plane could happen in a blink; it was like like flying u-control with a transmitter in order to keep it in sight, close, tight circles!! However, in calm air the gliding ability of this plane is simply amazing, making landing easy and uneventful.
Got in two great flights, then the fog really came down and made flying impossible, though I got in 6 flights with three different planes before I had to quit. All in all a great day despite the low visibility; everything came home in one piece! Sonny

With a 5s Arc/Wemo setup, I have had to move the fan back about two inches to make cg. I have Air Sally's ducting and I'm wondering if there is anything bad about shortening the duct itself by about 4 inches, ending just about the cg point, sort of looking like a Squall. My question is, would shortening the duct increase efficiency, by reducing the distance of the forward duct? Or is there anything else bad that might happen with this mod? Obviously I'm not worried about scale looks, lol. I just want to do something different.
The whole airframe is glassed and reinforced with carbon so I'm not too worried about losing the rigidity factor that the duct provides in its original position. Ideas? |

A different approach to applying the decals! LOL
Maiden should be later today. 4s TP 2100 for maiden. Then I'll try 4s 2500 50C and 3s 3300 if all goes ok. 65MGs and titanium rods on Elevons. Plush 60A and 6V 5amp BEC on Don's Wicked 4000 plus in 64 mm "505" fan. I hope to have a good report later today. PAX

Hard to believe this thread is still going. Here's a video my brother and I shot Feb of 2011. Be it known that I was intoxicated while editing the video.
![]() The end is pretty cool.. We almost had 2 F-16's come down in a cloud of styro peanuts. BTW. We are both running Dons wicked extreme 5400kv on 4s nanotech 2350 mah. plush esc.

So I bit the bullet today for the 4th of July sale at HP. Bought me a Phase 3 F-16, it should be here sometime next week
Now I'll have plenty of time to read and reread this thread to find out the needed mods to make it the best it can be.Steve |
