Some of the most active air I've flown in has been during the winter. The thermals just seem to be everywhere. You just have to be careful not to slip and kill yourself while launching in the snow.

I actually love winter flippin. Seems less windy when there is snow on the ground and the thermals seem to be better behaved!

The XXLite should look pretty much just like this one (except with vlad carbon instead of samurai):

Better video last night, Lemon. But still having difficulty figuring out Premier...

Jim, assuming the weather cooperates, I'm still planning on Barnes at noon.

Sounds good Jon, do you have the Alula with you? If the weather doesn't look good just send me a text.

Mike are you planning on flying with us down here today?

It's a definite possibility. I'm packin', and watching the weather...

Nice flying with #5 and #11 today. I even managed to tie the AULD with #5

I had one great low save in the AULD rounds, fighting for every second of flight time till the last 30 seconds when I finally reached launch height again. I turned around feeling rather good about that flight only to see Jon and Mike at 399' ... well I earned that 3 minutes the hard way.

But I bet your 3:00 was much more satisfying

That was fun today! Weather really cleared up nice and the sun came out just for our lunch hour. After Jon & Jim left I stayed a while longer, and was flying in wind and light rain, but wanted to throw the Stobel V3 a few times to compare to the Fr3aK. They are so similar, I can hardly tell a difference. Fr3aK is almost an ounce lighter, so feels more "alive" in the air. Signals lift really well, but takes more attention on the sticks. Both launch great, Fr3aK maybe winning by a hair. It also seems to go up a little faster in good air, but come down a little faster in bad air. Just more sensitive to everything. But when flown right it really performs, every bit as good as the Stobel, and for a bit less cost. Love them both, but one will be going up for sale soon. Need to thin my quiver back down to 4. Want to try the Fr3aK ballasted to the V3's weight before deciding though.
