Brandon, we need pics! Might spawn some ideas.

Get out the fisshing pole

I have used my fishing pole to cast a bobber with weight up and over the plane or branch to shake it loose. Marc

I read that, Wish I had the $ to buy it. Not sure why its sooo cheap per acre, but its a STEAL! It was for a few thousand acres.

Anyways, I plan on lunch @ my gf's place tomorrow.

Thought about that, too. I'm pretty sure I can cast high enough, but I'm afraid I'd snag the wrong branch, have to cut my line, and still be out of luck.

I'll try to get pictures after classes.

B, how old are you????

If you want the plane bad enough, go climb the tree. BUT!!!!!!!!! Make sure to take a fresh battery with you and have a guy on the ground holding the tx so that when you get the plane, you can power it up and throw it to safety and the guy on the ground can fly it!

LEts just say I have experience with putting a plane 60' up a tree....... Yeah, it turned out crappy!

My Stobel was about 50' up in what I thought was a "non-climbable" tree once. Managed to climb it anyway to about 30' where branches became way too small to support my weight. Grabbed an adjacent branch and got it rocking enough to hit the offending branch and knock the plane loose. Got it back, but chewed up the tails and folded the wing in the process . The fixes weren't too difficult though. Good education. I promised myself to never land in a tree again. On the very first re-maiden flight after the repairs, guess where I put it... yep, in a tree ! Luckily it was just 8' up in a 10' pine. Some lessons are hard learned.

I think we have all repeated the same boneheaded stunts several times in our RC career.......

I once rented some tree climbing stuff to climb a big fir tree. Strap-on leg spikes and a belt thing.

We had a dog grab the LongShot by the wing on the servo last night

Then I was letting Alex and a new (day one) DLG flyer at my full carbon wing B3.

They had a ball and flew till it was dark.

I know you were expecting me to tell you we crashed the B3

STOP!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, I got the wing on the Club TSOL all fixed up. TBM gave me some Kevlar and I used that top and bottom. Only bad part is I had some folds going over the L.E. and KEvlar does not sand! But its just fine, just not perfect.

She is freakin solid now! Now I just need to mount the tail and she will be ready for a newbie to fly!

Awesome! I'll be down your way the weekend after next. I just found out that my wing repair didn't hold. It's just starting to work loose. No catastrophic failure, fortunately. Do you want me to try to repair it before bringing it to you? I'm a little concerned about my repair not holding again. Maybe I could bring it over and get your help with the repair?
