I suspect Mike will be coming to the next contest. We really need an even # of pilots!!!!

Galena is a mixed bag in the mornings. But the potential for morning winds are pretty high.

Right now its dead calm in Draper.

I'd like to try to make it. I'll be getting the last bits and pieces to put the Frankenplane together after ECHLGF. That means I'll have a week to put it together and get as much practice in as I can. This semester is kicking my butt right now, so it may not happen in time. Here's hoping, though.

If you can stand, you should come Mike. Someone will throw for you. If you're still on crutches then yeah stay home.

I would like to hold the first class on October 8th.
Class 2 on October 22nd
Class 3 on October 29th
Prep School sometime in November or in place of class 2 or 3.
Dates subject to change depending on the unforeseen.
Oct 8th is good, at least right now. 22 is a big ? and the 29th is out. I need this a ton so I hope it works out.

Can I come to the contest and play with the big boys? I only have an itty-bitty, teenty-tiny, see-through Gambler.

Russ, I'd go if I were you. I went to BSOUT just to watch, and I learned a ton. I would have learned much much much more if I had flown, even with a sub-par plane. I'd even venture to say that a Gambler in the right hands could probably be competitive. I'm trying to get my 1.5m ship built in time, but it'll be tight. If I can't do it, I may just go fly with something else just for the experience.

Brandon,

You should've received the pod by now at the address you gave me. I noticed you fly 72mhz so I put a couple of RXs in there, too. I flew those in my vandals and other planes.
Good luck. Let's see how the build progresses.

Soar!

Any stopwatch will work. When timing Mike in the quick turnaround tasks, two watches work nice (one for each flight so you can write down times after the relaunch). A watch that will countdown the 10 min working window is great for many of the tasks if timing a good pilot. I have one of these that will countdown: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EFCPEA
But really, any watch will work.
