2:00 at WSUD. Be there! Good times. Probably cloudy, but I heard some guys know how to make their own thermals... Need some of Norm's chili! We'll do our best. Bring your cameras. We can practice some other tasks if you want as well, before or after the GMo.

Guys coming from the south, don't feel too picked on. I still have a 45 minute drive myself to get to this northern location! Hopefully I will get some payback if BSOUT ends up being just 5 mintues from my back door .

Here's the bag I'm donating to the winner of the GMo. They turned out nice with the stitched logo. Shirts are also here for those that ordered:
Ron - 2 XXL blue and 2 XXL gray
JonL - 1 XXL gray
JonF - 1 XL cream
Alex - 1 XL white
Adrian - 1 XL white
Jim (old) - 1 XL blue
Jim (young) I have an extra white XL if you want it, or maybe Ron will sell you one of his haul of XXL's?

Greg, are you coming? How about the new guys from Salt Lake and Utah counties? And Jeff from Farmington. And others, you know who you are. Everyone welcome. You should all be there... definitely... definitely at 2 o'clock WSUD for DLG... definitely 2 o'clock... for DLG... definitely...

Hey y'all hopefully we've decided on a 2:15 start at WSUD. Had a guy at my clubs meeting wanting to come check it out. I just need to put the receiver back in and the Cilantro will be ready for some test throws.

Jon, good to hear that you've found a solution for launching.

Anyone want to do some throwing tomorrow?

Can the Truckstop make a 2:00 start???

Ha a split second before I asked, he confirmed my fears....

PS, I shot video of the launch practice tonight. I can tell when it hurt!!!!! I will try and get the video up as it was a beautiful night. One thing I noticed though is that I think Old Jim hates his Alula!!!!!

Ohhh and urgent question!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could I use thick CA for peg on the B3????? It just seems thin CA may not make as good as bond. If I could get the peg glued tonight I could fly her tomorrow.

2:00 is ball park. I will be there early. But we can start the actual task a little late if necessary for Truckstop. Get there as soon as you possibly can J! It would be fun to all start at the same time...

I would soak the cutout and general area good with thin first, before installing blade. Then install it (tight fit) followed by more thin. Then follow up with medium or thick to build up a small fillet around the blade, top and bottom.

9.8 OZ 275 GRAMS RTF

I am thinking I will not love the battery in there though as I dont think its going to last very long. n Those 285's are noisy and I am sure that is sucking the juice!!!!!

If I had some connectors I could put it on my wattmeter and see how much current she pulls. The BEC gets warm, not hot, when running.

Sooooooo. I may go with a bigger battery and a bigger BEC if this setup does not give me at least 1 hour of flight time. I think it will, but I need to get some connectors and test it out ASAP.

Thanks for the advice on the peg Mike, I will go do that right now.

rhino 360 2S hyperion ds09

1 hour is my guess based on bench useage on setup.

I will time some flights tomorrow hopefully and see how fast the voltage drops.

Truck stop, dont confuse "Concern" with the desire to beat you.

I would say you should inch up on that hour mark. I don't think any of the AZ guys using those same components fly anywhere near that long, but I could be wrong about that.

I would say anything over 6.5 would be good for another throw...... But depending on the burn rate this may or may not be correct. I will fly today if I have time, and time how long I am powered up. I will go for 10 minutes 1st and then check voltage.
