I'll be there Friday for sure.

The Assassin was my last ditch effort to try a wing. I put a 1900kv motor I had lying around in it and it seems to do ok.

Got the day off. What time are people headed to Art Dye? Maybe after it warms up a bit?

I haven't flown the P-51 for a while, gonna chase down a 262 if I see one!

Yikes, too early (cold) for me! Still gotta charge some batts as well. I will make it out later like 11 or so.

Good luck with the maiden if you do that today.

Well the Habu 32 flight was a success.

Until it wasn't.

It flew great until that light pole way out there was in it's way!

Yeah... I couldn't have done that if I tried many many times.

I was going to come around one more time as I was practicing landing approaches. I clipped the outer edge of the wing by probably less than 1cm on the big baseball light posts. Damage = nose retract servo, steering servo, and the fuse and the wing that got clipped. I have spare wings and a spare retract servo so I just need a fuse and steering servo + time to swap the stuff over.

Painful way to end an otherwise very nice maiden flight. Habu flew nice and smooth.

Bummer about the light post. I have a spare wing you can have from when mine crashed. The carbon spar snapped in half and will need to be extracted. Otherwise the wing is in decent shape. Yours if you want it.

Headed over to AD in a bit. Should be there about 11:30.

I actually have a set of spare wings. I'm unsure if I need any of the CF spars or anything yet. I think I can extract the current one.

I'll keep that in mind though in case I find something. I'll wait to tear the rest of it apart until I get the replacement fuse.
