I used Pennzoil Air Cooled Petroleum based oil for the first four gallons, switching to a synthetic oil next, not sure which one, thinking of Stihl Utra HP. My enging warbles, or gurlges a bit on the low end I assume I should adust it down a bit, not sure how much, thought I read that B-Doc said to keep some of that in there. Anyway, lots of flying lots of fun.

Those are the two oils that were recommended to me and they worked well in my DLE 55. I just completed the break-in on mine this weekend and moved from 32:1 Pennzoil Air Cooled to 50:1 Stihl Ultra HP. I got over 150 higher RPM higher at full throttle which was VERY noticable in the air. I added 1/16 of a turn leaner on both the bottom and top end which was just right. After that adjustment, it idles even smoother and is cleaner in the middle, too. Very please thus far.
