When I went out flying last week with Pete he was testing out his monopod for his camera, well it was a twilight fly and we fluked some really cool video with the full moon in the background with his profile Mig plus streamer. It's roughly in the middle of the video

The Mig and the Moon (3 min 37 sec)

and this is one he did with the Spity, music and sound effects made it pretty cool I think

JBC's FMS Spitfire, nice scale flying (2 min 28 sec)

Anyone after tools for building model aircraft, I found a local online supplier (victorian) for all sorts of hobby related tools:
hobbytools.com.au
Couldn't find a razor saw on the weekend, hobby king didn't have any, but these guys did, as well as reamers for props, clamps etc. Shipping is cheap too.

The HK EPO Parkjet..

Seeing as it was a total failure.. Ive gone ahead and ordered a lighter motor at 3700kv to power it... should be a fast little piece of foam.

If noone has seen what the parkjet mkII is capable of... check this...

Parkjet MK II - HobbyKing Don's Review (4 min 24 sec)

I was one of the lucky ones that got the first new motor that came with it... its a rocket ship! I bought two... Unfortunately I hammered the motor to death and gave away my other one that I got in the other kit... I tried something different and totally failed.

But for 45 bucks... I suggest everyone buys one...

Servos arent great... both mine died on first landing I made and it was a nice gentle landing too...

We tested on one plane and the motor came out with 323watts 25amps or so... on a 3s, in a plane that weighed about 280 grams... slow stall speed still, but glide it in, point the nose up and hit wot and it will climb til you cant see it no more... its brilliant!

Well, it's either listen to fellow hobbyists like you or listen to the numerous "unpaid" Hobby King reviewers on Youtube and Rc Groups.
These guys in particular worry me. Every product they review is perfect!

Wouldnt surprise me if they were paid to endorse HK products.... I for one really cant stand how they sound but thats me!

Thats whats so good about the reviews on particular products... everyday use from thousands of people... tell you whats good, and what to stay away from.

I just recieved my Turnigy Accucel 6 Charger... it looks ok, backlit lcd screen. Although when lit up, the data shown on screen isnt straight... haha, but I can live with that for $36 bucks....

Took a lot longer to get to me then I thought coming from aus warehouse too...

Does anyone use the XT60 connectors? Ive always used dean connectors... but they look pretty decent.

I also broke another part on my trex on the weekend (GAH!)...
I believe its one these...
http://wattsuprc.com.au/product_detail.asp?pid=H25012A

Its broken on the ball link end, snapped right through. It really doesnt like me doing 3d with it...

Those metal gear servos look great! I got just the application in which they can be used in.
