Hi all fellow scratch builders,
I have read your form now for the last two days and I must
Say that I am addicted the MIG 7 , and will start building 3
One for sloping one for electric and one 16% upsize for power,
I have always build the old traditional long way with balsa but this looks like fun .
Many thanks , for all the picks and tips ,
Have made copies of all the template and now to get the material that should not be hard.
Good to see guys are still into bashing and building things

Great to have you onboard TRex99!!
Correx/coroplast is another awesome building material. We have all built with Balsa and will always, but correx has allowed us to "let loose" a little, as it bounces far better!!

Sorry for the late reply!!....I was off-line the entire day yesterday......flying combat with Bakkie!....with Alula's!!

I use hot glue for 95% of the construction....I then only use contact for the ailerons and to close the wing. Goop is a very good glue, so I read all over the net,......but not available here in ZA! ....but yes, Bostick 123 will work if its a contact type glue!

So, how far are you TRex99?

Back to square one ,I orders 2 3 4 mm from Maisies DBN but they send me
the S one they have no straight flute ones they will have to order for me .
will see what happens now .

Has anyone build with the S correx

I also spoke to another correx basher and he said that he build all his planes
With CA medium , he heats up or just blow over the part he wants to go with a
Plumbers heat just to remove any oil trace and them he places drops 2-3 cm apart
That is the trick , he said that if you place to much CA then it does not hold ,
According to him he has build , and I have seen pick of his planes ,
Many crashes and the correx brake not the glue joint ,

Will give it a try as well

have built a few correx planes with CA , it works, but not as good as a hot glue joint , how would you glue two piece's that are perpendicular to each other ? with a glue gun you can do a fillet weld
