Happy Holidays! as they say across the pond

I've ordered a couple of sheets of 1.22m2 4mm Correx (white) which SHOULD be delivered tomorrow as it was despatched today by next day courier! (I've got 2mm coming from Ebay - Not sure about delivery on that)
I'm hoping it does arrive tomorrow in time for my long weekend (I've been playing with scaling and tiling the plans and need to print and stick page/sheet3 out to check the dimensions on the fuz. Fingers Crossed!
Can someone give me the length of the BOTTOM line on the ailerons when scaled to 116% for a WS of 1320mm? I can then check if the scaled and tiled version of my plans are correct before taking to the correx.

The start is looming....

Thanks Sean.
Is the TE of the aileron measuring 155mm to 590mm giving a TE aileron length of 435mm or thereabouts?
Sorry, had a mind blank earlier and couldn't think of the correct terminology!

Mm/inches.... It's all the same

Ok, so my TE aileron edge is 444mm. 1cm off what yours is Sean.
This is from the tiled 116% sheet I made from the original plans in Adobe Acrobat 9.
I'll post a picture if you want, I'm measuring from the start if the aileron (left on plan) right up to the aileron cut line. This measures 444mm.

What you think guys?

So arriving home I come across these two packages waiting for me

2 sheets of 4mm white correx.
A big roll of 2mm correx black. I'm sure I ordered white. going to have to flatten it before I use it.. bugger.
I can't be bothered to send the black back for white, it won't make much difference.. Will have to spray it white or something for the colour scheme probably.

Oh well.

Off to try and get these plans sorted

wow what a great design, its incredible that you guys use that stiff chloroplast like stuff, the "VOTE for MAYOR" material... anyways I really like the wing design it's like an SBD Dauntless, from an under side view.

Hey Rhysduk,
You really are having a tough time to get your build started.
Here, we just drive a few K`s and buy over the counter. As much as we want and any size and various colours. The same place slles the vinyl we use to cover the plane with the woderful `skins`you see onthe web. I think we don`t realise how lucky we actually are.
I mean you could decide `now` to build a Mig and virtually have it done in 1-3 days if you work at it. Persevere there pal you will enjoy it when it`s finished.

Thanks Eathis.. You sure do have it easier out there! Always fancied the idea of emigrating to Oz or SA, you never know!

Ok so.. I used ACrobat Pro 9 to scale the plans up to 116% and tile them. (I've attached the pdf for sheet 3 that i did this way).
BUT, when I print them im missing about 0.25inch or less from the edge. EG; take a look at the last sheet in the pdf, I'm missing the Y completely from the word AWAY.
I've tried bordless printing, nothing.

Any idea's guys?

WoW rd!!
So much happening!
Remember....I would prefer 3mm for the fuzz, tailfeathers and ailerons....its a slopie you building, not powered plane. ....but if you have a great slope, 4mm is cool!
The black 2mm is ok!....just makes it harder to see your construction lines...but once complete....black does look awesome with some white for depth!!
I'm starting to get excited for you!!
PFD????....again....sorry I cant help you there other than print you a copy and POST it to you!!

Keep them pics comming!!

Rigwell, hope you dont mind me posting some pics of your Very Pretty Mig!!??

Thanks Eathis. But I already had that, it's what I used to scale and tile page 3 in my attempt above.
On the verge of giving up
