FB, I have a question, what is your thought on reducing the height of the wing spar? Will it speed it up? (Not that you need it as much), I'm thinking of the general handling.......
nice flying there Rudi

Jaco, I tried using thinner spars on the various Corro slopers, and found that the thinner wing did not generate as much lift, so although the thinner wing might be faster, I couldnt climb to the same altitude or go as high in the half-pipe as the 'standard' Migs, so was in fact slower, at the end of the day

its hard to beat the Mig design for all around performance....so my last couple of designs ( CorroStang2 and CorroSpit) have similiar key dimensions; spar, wing area, fuzz to wing scale ratio, etc

Hey FB that makes total sense, Thank you for clearing that up. My next project is the Spitty. I tell ya, I just love the MIG and I'm sure the Spitty will go as well.
Thanks Jim - Jaco

Conair.

So Connor, 12 years of age, spent some time in the UK with his family. He knows all about the Union Jack!
We went to Maitlands to maiden, but the rain had other ideas!

That is one beautiful looking Mig Sean!

I wish I had half your talent. I am still really finding it very hard to even come up with a colour scheme for a yellow fuse and black wing.

Regards
Ian

Any ideas??

Just wanted to send a shout out to Leon Koekemoer for his nose cones for the Mig.
I got two of them from him and both look amazing! Looks to be really well crafted and put together.
And he went out of his way to help get them to me. Overall I'm extremely happy!

If you need a nose cone, you can't go wrong

Ian, what I do (I'm no artist!!), I look for designs that catch my eye immediatly!....refer below. The more you look at them, the more you see something you dont like. But look for what caught your eye in the beginning......dunno if that makes any sense?
Then change what you dont like to add your own twist!
Rules to myself are as follows:
#1 Bright on top, dark at the bottom (everybody does that!)
#2 Major contrast between top and bottom (everybody does that!)
#3 Wingtips must be dark (you'll see 99% of my schems are like this for obvious reasons)
#4 Include defects in the scheme! ....to hide them!
#5 Try include LE as it WILL need to be patched!!

Hehehe!!......well the rest......just let loose!!

2 questions:

1) What are you guys using to connect the aileron rods to the servos?
2) Where do you get adhesive vinyl from?

I went to two hobby shops today and at both I was looked at like a weirdo when I asked about these things. Neither shop had any ideas and I left empty handed
