Look at the cannons if you want something that shoots good video and stills. And be prepared to get a big memory card if you shoot a lot of video.

Does anyone know how many teeth are on the stock tail belt for the blade 400?

Might want to throw that one away then

The belt will have hundreds of teeth - more than 100, less than 200.

It really doesn't matter as long as the belt is the correct length, with the correct tooth size and tooth pitch.

My tail was wagging back and forth alot today and it caused an abrupt landing which broke some stuff. Idk whats up with the tail it just seems very unstable and all over the place. Havent adjusted anything in the gyro. Could the belt be stripped?

Possibly, causing it to slip and the gyro sending commands to the tail and throwing it all off every which way when the torque is applied and lost.

It's more likely to be one of the belt pulleys. Hold the main rotor firm, and try and turn the tail rotor. Don't use too much force, but if the teeth on either pulley are worn, you will be able to feel the belt skip over them..

Look at the tail pulley as you turn the rotor, and see if the belt is skipping on it. Hopefully it will be as that's the easiest pulley to replace. If it's not skipping over the rear pulley then it must be the front one that has the worn teeth. It could of course be both but IIRC the rear one usually wears first.

This is assuming the belt is at the correct tension and not too loose.

Push it with a screwdriver or something, through the inspection hole in the side of the boom. You should only be able to push it in very slightly before you start to feel the tension. There's more on this in the manual.
