There are many good candidates. If you provide more information you will get better advice. For example do you have a budget ? Do you have a DC power supply already and if so, what are its specifications ? Do you want to charge above 1C (most lipos today can be charged at 3C and some as high as 10C)?

Some good candidates worth considering include:

FMA PowerLab8
Junsi 206B, 306B or 3010B
Hyperion 720i or 615iDUO3

Re thread title: do you want to charge 3s to 6s (s= series) at 3c to 6c (c = charge rate) charge rate?
If so go for the FMA Powerlab 8. Charges 1s to 8s at up to 40 amps.

This is the most powerful charger on the market today.

Don't forget the power supply. You need 24vdc at about 60 amps.

The TP 610C isn't in the same class as the Powerlab 8 but it is supposed to be a good charger. You will still need a power supply to operate on line current. 12vdc at about 12 amps.

I have the new TP610C ACDC and really like it. Had some questions and TP answered them, and I like the ability to upgrade the software. Good bang for the buck.

I got mine from RCLipos. Talk about helpful, Pat even called me to answer questions! http://www.rclipos.com

I've just stepped into the bigger batteries (6s 5000 mha) and purchased a TP 610 thinking that would be a good charger. It's totally underpowered for the big packs. Will it charge them? yes. Will it be working at it's max rate for charges over 1 hour? yes.

The 6s 5000 mha packs need approximatly 125watts to be charged at 1C. the TP 610 is only 80 watts. Plus....who wants to run their equipment at full power all day long. I like some headroom.

I think if I had the funds I'd go with the powerlab but if you're a little short for just a few more bucks than the 610 there is always the Bantam stuff. I purchased one from amainhobbies that had 250 watts and it was somewhere around 125 if I remember correctly.

I've been using a Tunrigy Mega 400.

Can charge my small packs and my high amp packs with accuracy. It seems to be able to charge just about any battery.

I've even charged my car battery when i left the lights on

Hello Chriskaw85,
I have the TP610C, I loved it soooooo much I bought a second one to speed up my charging process. I use them for everything - lipos, nimh, rx packs, glow sticks, 12v 7A pit battery, only thing I dont use it for is my TX. Simple to use, simple to follow. I use a ripmax pro peak power supply - 13.8V 20A

I mainly use 6s 2650 lipos, charging these at 1c is no problem. My 2 chargers are used for about 4hours each (continuos - a lot of lipos) 3 times a week, not had any problems.

Only snag I have just bought nano-techs which can take 5c charging - I tried to wind my charger up and it maxed out at 4A. I am just about to go onto big elec helis with 6s 5000m lipos. This charger wont cope with them. Sadly I am now looking for another charger, and moving up to the next league is expensive - I should have gone large in the 1st place.

1 thing, make sure it has the latest software.

where ever you find yourself - keep safe.

Paul
