Is anyone running anything different this year for asphalt or crete? I'm going with my same combo which is firms front and back. May even try hards, has anyone else tried hards all the way around?

Harder the better for me this year. Which reminds me I need to grab me a few sets of tires.

Yesterday before it rained on us, I lost 2 seconds or around that per lap using harder rears and harder fronts. DT your on the right track. Are you using the front strut bar as well?

Hows the front push with the hards? I know the rear isn't going to loose traction with hards. I'm running them now myself. They do prevent tire chunking.

Much faster for me and more responsive overall. True harder compounds won't chunk as you say as easy but all it takes is the slightest pebble and your kart will bounce. Food for thought as it happen to me entering a short straight leading to a corner during practice.

I haven't had the time to drive my kart much these days. When I do I'll let everyone know how the new tires and rims compare to my others.

I didn't and won't think about going back to the old tires and rims. The others just stick out way to far and give to much traction in the rear IMHO.

Most don't go back, your right about that. The feel is much more realistic than the older ones and offer much better balance and grip.

They improved my laptimes. I went from 19s to high 17s on a good day. Keep in mind I only raced on the larger tracks.

I found that I needed to round the edges or go to hards in the rear. They traction hop more than the mag type did. Also I'm going with Roberts idea once they get here. I'm going to try hards all around. I'll tell everyone what I think when I mount them up. Todd said a week for my tires to arrive.
