Yes.. The purists of ridiculousness... Being in Muscle Cars since the 80s and involved with restorations... It got to the point of insanity... (hence no fun) With things like the wrong bolt head holding on your exhaust and that number on the spark plug wire isn't the one it came with.. Ugh..!! RC planes are more fun at this time for me, cheaper and an easier storage issue..!! But I suppose their will be those in all hobbys..!! Not me..!!

Yea...she arrived yesterday in fine shape!!! I already love the plane and haven't even started building her yet.
I plane to take my time and add in all the xtra ideas that you guys have mentioned...especially the wing reinforcements. I sure don't want a folding wing up on me! I am also not sure if I will go for a 'scale' paint job or keep it simple like stock. What I DO know is that canopy cover has to change....uggg, that black outline is uglier than sin!jd Should get started soon. I'm in the middle of building a RCLander BAE Hawk right now which is taking some extra time to get things right. Take care guys, happy flying, Ken |

Yes great job on the paint scheme, cocg! And I like your wing strength testing assistant!
On another subject, I only recently started paying attention to FSA (Fan swept area) and it's relation to desired intake and exhaust sizes on EDF's. So I ran the numbers on the Turbojet, and found the exhaust is like 96% of FSA, when all the tips I've read say 85% is a good starting number. So especially for all the speed demons out there, has anyone tried adding appropriate sized exhaust tubes yet? Could up the speed for a very small price. I'm not looking for a rocket, but I'm going to try it out. Oh, and good luck with the maiden! |
