Also depends on whether you have the one with the E – retracts or not. Mine has the retracts and has a much smaller nose wheel plus no shock. I've had a hard go taking off of grass, but it will land fine. Especially after I reinforced the nose retract with plywood and glue. My buddies takes off just fine (non-retracts) but the nose gear still needs reinforcement.

looks cool, could sound cool too. just not sure if they would be total crap or if they would be too much draw on the stock esc.

unfortunately the site doesnt provide any other info...

thoughts? concerns?
Stick with the stock fans and just go 4s. The AEO's sound great but are not efficient. They draw a ton of amps! Yes they sound cool but not worth it. The stock fans work great!

from what I have read as long as you have the 40a esc you can run the 4s. the newer version with retracts come with the 40a esc. apparently some of the older fixed gears versions did not come with them.

Cool, thanks for the info. Since mine has the 40amp ESCs I'm gonna have to give the 4s a try.

Yes. Look at the ESC's and it will tell you that. It is 2-6s. I run mine on 4s and both fans together are pulling under 60amps. So its no problem!

Here is the ESC that it uses just so you can see.. It is the 40amp on this graph.

FWIW, Just had my maiden flight of the Turbojet. What an awesome little aircraft. This is my first EDF, and I'm flying it after countless hours on the E-Flite Apprentice. It is a great step up for someone who is used to flying a high-wing trainer. I am extremely pleased with its performance. I flew mine completely stock, battery and all. It is the kit that comes from Nitroplanes.com (fast shipping by the way) with retracts pre-installed.

Happy flying

Tut
