Has anyone changed their timing on the ESC? I see that the default setting is set to low.

Here is a pic of my plane at a local flying field. I added wing tips, lights, retracts, flaps, painted the canopy white, and replaced the stock edf's with Hayoe 7 blade fans. They sound awesome by the way

Anyone have stock motors to sell?

Hello All - anyone have stock motors they would like to sell? I have the Dynam A-10 and would like to run the motors from this Turbo Jet - good KV. I can't find replacement motors for this plane - I believe they are 3300 KV - closest I can find are the ones from HobbyPartz that look just like stock, though they are 3800 KV

http://www.hobbypartz.com/75m93-ducted-2210-3800.html

If you have a couple spare motors from a crashed plane let me know.

Thanks!

Mechanical retracts

After reading the thread, and enjoying the cool tips and things!
I went ahead and got one... It came in this weekend! I plan on some custom graphics and paint, as well as flaps and retracts. I did notice folks have been shoe-horning in e-retracts. I understrand the cool factor of the e-retracts, but does anybody have a recommended mechanical set to use?

Thanks for the help.

Since the servoless retracts didn't arrive I'm going with a set I bought a couple years ago from the lhs. Need some trimming but work well enough otherwise. Still have to pick up the nose gear set but at least they have it in stock.

Mine's still going strong. I think they are a steal at $100 PNP. I have yet to install retracts as I'm waiting for the Hobby Lobby Learjet ones to restock. They look like the best fit to me. It's my first EDF and I think it's a good transition as it has a long straight wing, twin EDFs for good power, and unlike most A-10's(which I was comparing with, as they are almost the same as except for twin vert stabs), already has rudder control. I also enjoy a little 'cool-factor' at the field, since I have the only non-military EDF in the club as far as anyone there can tell. Very glad I got mine.

Somebody asked me once: what's wrong with you?
Yours it's the only non military jet!

It's cool.
Just make sure you have good enough battery to run it.
It will suck it dry in no time.
I run it on two 2200mAh packs for 6 min. (wot, and they come out hot)
