maiden of my laerke

An old schooner I once had
She is a scale model of the 1800's OrionPlank on frame ,built by a guy in Auckland(I have forgotten his name)from all native NZ timbers.She now sails in Otago,way down south NZ

A fun day
Went to a little lake surronded by bush in Waihi(pronounced Y HE) just north of Tauranga for a fun days sailing,mixed fleet,all sorts involved.Here's a couple of IOMs

i would post pics,, but the lake I sail is currently drained..
 at least to the point I cant use it.. maybe by next summer the open seas will be back, Ill have to use the small ponds till then. note that the water is even lower now since I took the photo..
