The EasyStar feels like a brick now and is no acrobat in the sky with this load. However, it carries it and maneuvers much better than I expected. I have no plane mod's other than putting bi-di tape strips along the top and bottom of each wing and tail for adding strength. I actually have been able to pull off a loop.. I just have to dive a bit first.

Why ground and signal wire from OSD to RX? Why not just signal. For example if you run an external BEC, you pull the + & - pins out and just use signal in the EST plug. Why wouldn't this work from OSD to RX?

I'm having this pulsing problem with my motor. It was working fine for about five minutes, and then this happened. It should be drawing a steady 26amps at the time, but it keeps dropping down to 21amps and then going up again. Here is the equipment list:

Hobby King EPP FPV
Turning 3536-1400kv motor
Turnigy 55A ESC

The ESC is inside the plane. Could it be overheating? I still had plenty of juice left in the battery.

The battery is a Turnigy 3S 20-30C 5000mAh. The voltage cutoff is at 3.2V/cell

I was only 600m out so it couldn't have been loss of signal.
Hey williamjames

What radio were you using on your skywalker?

I use brand new HS81 !
I think it's the EPP around the hardware

I use CA glue / epoxy / special foam

900Mhz is technically a better frequency because it should handle obstructions better, but that only helps if you fly low. However, depending on where you fly, you could run into different types of interference for each of these frequencies. 2.4 is nice if you're going to attach a CP antenna, because they are small, while the 900Mhz CP is enormous. Then again, if you're flying at a club, chances are there's going to be a ton of other 2.4 radios which could cause you problems.

Personally, I think I'm going to switch to 1.3 from 900. it's a good in-between frequency.
