only try this with a well tuned and tested osd, and only with clear 360deg flying ground! accent rate and loiter radius MUST BE CONSIDERED.Safety first

Now that's something I'd like to see!

Must not be using Eagletree, though - it know's when it's 'home' and wont activate autopilot.

189km/h plus you can slow it down and putt along at sensible speeds too, long-range flights, aerobatics!! This ship does it all. If there is a more versatile FPV platform that the skyfun let me know.

New Skyfun!

My new Skyfun had its maiden flight today.

The airframe flew brilliantly!
The Cyclops Storm OSD (RTH), though, did not (still troubleshooting that one).

Top speed on 3S with a Turnigy 2350 and a 6X5.5 on 3S was 154km/hr in level flight and still air. Not bad for a 2200 pack!

Even in still air it get a little yaw wobble - thinking about adding some extra fin area to the rear of the verticals.

Is it usual/necessary to put cooling air scoops to ventillate the cockpit?

Cheers

Roger

Clean Roger

Seems you'll be fine speed wise , Looking forward to seeing how that cam works rec wise, I like the look of them as a moveable second perspective option.

Oh and will also probably have Q's about the Cyclops, liking the size of it

Looking forward to having all 3 Skyfun's up at once

I'm having trouble with the Cyclops stabilisation setup ATM. It seems to not like 'responsive' airframes - even a very low gain gives over-corrections. Awaiting some help from that forum. It's one of those products that could do with a firmware update. Nonetheless, in the spirit of keeping this one cheap and cheerful, I'll persist with the lost cost stuff, and hope to eventually get reliable RTH.

The plane itself flew very nicely. Once I get it properly dialled in, it'll be a great little flier. I'm hoping to be able to run either a single (lightweight) 3S2200, or put a pair of them in for greater endurance. The single pack is nicely forward in the cockpit, and there's plenty of room to move a twin-pack rearward to keep the CoG.

Roger.
