Hangar 9 Twin Otter

This plane is great. Lots of fligths on it and always fun to fly. I could shoot landings all day with it. A little detailing and it will look superb ! Here is a vid of it:

Joyride (5 min 25 sec)

Beautiful plane and VERY nice vid! This is the sort of video editing I want to do when I grow up. I especially liked the shots looking out over the nose from inside the spooky empty flight deck...Sort of Twilight Zone -ish.

Thanks for posting the video, very well done. Interested to know what you chose for powerplant and why, what other options you looked at and overall weight.

Thank you all guys ! Blade head, you're right the cockpit view is a little bit spooky, could also come from Stephen King's "The langoliers"

tobermei:

For motors I chose E Flite power 25's and 40 amps esc's. Works very well, scale "turbine" sound (at least on the ground), and also vibration free. That is a plus since I wanted to shoot lots of aerial footage with the plane.

Also, I am really tired of glow residue and benn flying electric for some years now. Other option would have been 36's glow, but not for me. AUW is 12 pounds. Very, very nice flyer.

Grown up? Heh-heh, naaah that's just a state of mind. Thanks about my vids. It's almost as much fun making them as it is flying in them.

Totally ! Making vids about the hobby is a hoby in itself. Love the editing and playing with music theme and all. FPV is the next thing for me. But although it seems simple, the learning curve is stiff. I'm learning fast though, much motivation

Have you ever thought about building the Top Flite DC-3 ? It looks like fun !

In all modesty, I tought of sending it to them, but I posted it on the H9 TO forum. thnaks for your comments. You can see other videos I made with the plane on vimeo. Here is one I made to capture some FPV like footage. I really dig FPV and as you saw in Art tread, I will be buying my FPV stuff soon (hope for xmas).
