ask 21

Hi Guys, I got round to opening the box and found the rudder detatched from the fin, also a very small peice broken off the tail seat. Looking down the trailing edge of the wing, it has a slight S bend. I went for the plug and play version so I dont know what the physical size of the supplied battery was. As you can see from the photo, I have 2200mah size battery and if the battery is supposed to fit right behind the motor I will have to cut the spacer out and fit it further back. Any advice on this please. Bill

Hi Soarntz. The range of hills is called the howgills which in in Cumbria England. The pic was taken out of the car window while driving down the motorway, I think you may call it a freeway?

My rudder came detached, too. I used some tape to attach it to the rudder. Our ASK's came with 3S-1300 lipos. They fit just fine

Does a 1300 battery give good flight times?

Has anyone had to use the two peices of weight to balance the ask 21? I was thinking maybe if I made my 2200 battery fit instead of using the supplied weights. Any thoughts on that. Bill.

Did you use 3M packaging tape, fiberglass reinforced or other tape? By the report of all who have opened the box, all Art-Tech ASK-21's come with the rudder detached. It's shown this way on Hobby-Lobby's site a replacement fuselage. I need to get downstairs and open my box yet, silly me.

I must be the exception, mine came with the rudder attached. I do not know what tape Iflytailies used.

I used 1 3\4 oz of lead to balance. I was thinking of seeing where I could use those two pieces as ballast. maybe I'll cut out foam in fuse where CG is and tape them in when I fly in stronger winds.

I wouldnt have thought the rudder would be deliverd detached. The rudder on mine was partly fixed but fell off while I was inspecting the contents of the box . I intend to take a very close look at the other control surfaces.

ask 21

Hi guys, Does anyone have a bit of a fight to attatch the wings to this model , I find it quite a struggle to get the servo wires in the right place to allow the wings to sit flush with the fuz, Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Bill.

just cut the foam so it will suit your setup. Cut off little by little as not to cut off too much at a time
