Could be the pinion worn, could be the motor shaft slipping, could be front sprocket grub screw loose. Just a few other things to check. could be the spur gear also. Hope you sort it.

Guess what I'm doing tonight?

BTW, the new rear tire & sprocket was totally unexpected! Thanks Atomik!

Cheers
what all do you have to do to get the E-gyro up and running in the vmx besides mounting the wheel and the esc? do you have any pics of the instillation process or maybe take a pic of the directions ?

I'm stuck waiting for the conformal silicone that Chris recommended a few pages back. It's fairly wet in the Seattle area and with 2 ESC's, I'm going to sauce it up before installing/running.

correct wasn't the pinion gear, loose gear that moves chain. tightened with loctite and went to 12 pinion - considerably faster more fun, need to refill front shocks kinda dead from so many cycles - haven't taken apart egyro (hopefully nevah) but bike is simple design and fun to work on

elvill: consider picking up the pinned front sprocket (it has the same part number as the setscrewed sprocket). It will save you a bit of hassle in the long run -- as in not having to tighten the setscrew after every run.

I think he's talking about waterproofing, I think the speedos are already waterproof. Chris was talking about another brand speedo.

Atomik ARR (p/n 0392) question - the description says it doesn't include "radio". Does this mean that it does not include transmitter/receiver, or transmitter. Essentially trying to determine if I pick up a 2nd bike, will I also need to buy a receiver or does the ARR include the receiver?

Here is a link to the spray I use. Anything like an ESC or a Rx can be srayed to make it water resistant or even water proof. You have to take apart the component and spray the boards front and back. You can mask certain parts if needed like wires or buttons.
Doing so will void any warranty if it matters to you so keep that in mind.
