If you have both turned on and then press the bind button on the RX the system will rebind itself to the radio Tx.
Otherwise if the ESC is still making sounds and the Rx has a green light and the steering servo works then its the ESC that is in program mode. Follow the ESC directions and go from there.

Thanks Chris! Tower says next Monday for delivery so unless you have a surefire way to sneak a 28 lb. package under someones nose I think I'll wait with the Q&A till then.

The bike came yesterday but it was almost dark by the time I got it set up to run. Snuck a pack in quick before the sun went down. It seems to be very well made and looks great, the only issue I'm having besides learning how to drive the thing is that the front forks bind at the top of their range of motion and are not very responsive. I'm going to see if some more driving smooths them out a bit, or do I need to adjust something? Anyways the bike is fun to drive and there's definitely a learning curve but I like that, I like it alot.

Lost one of my guide wires due to being a lazy fool who didn't feel like looking for his threadlock. Here are some pics of my interim solution until I find the guide wire or can't find it and have to order a new one. Good for a laugh, and functional too.

Turn off reverse

Chris or some other ESC Expert!

Yes, Venom sent me a replacement ESC and REVERSE is programed into it. The manual has 4 reverse power settings but no shut off programming is shown.... Help, my bike does not need (or want, lol) reverse!! Thanks ahead of time, Dave

If it is the 80A VMX esc, you want throttle mode 1, which is forward-only mode.

Thanks Lito, Sometimes when I read instruction sheets, my brain goes numb after the 2nd set of parameters is discussed, and all the terminology all blurs together leaving me with no alternative but to ask some young wizard to help me find what I am clearly looking at! Thanks again...Dave

Chargers can be had on ebay. Here is a budget one that works. Charges Nimh,Lipo,Life,Pb. Charges up to 5a. Discharges @1a. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IMax-B6-Li...item4842ad370b Delivery is reliable and takes two weeks.

Or if you are flush, then there are plenty at the 100+ range...

If the receiver is from Venom then you only have to push the button on the receiver to bind it to the radio.

You should use a 25C or higher rated 2 cell pack and 5000mah capacity so your run time is adequate as well as the power. You can use a 20C 3400mah pack and it works but the run time is less and the pack wont have the punch you may want or need.
The pack will run cooler if you go bigger so I'd suggest you look into the larger capacity high C packs.
