Your English is fine my friend!

I have not been able to fly it other than in the house. There is an indoor event coming up, I'll try to get some video then.

Yes, I mean airfoil, sorry for my bad english.
I have been toying in XFLR5 with some reflexed airfoils, derived from the HS-522 and the E186, to build a new flying wing for indoor, with depron this time, but I am not yet satisfied with the results.
If you can, post a video of the Komet flying, thanks.

Have good flights.

Hi.

Reto, that pilot waving to onlookers, did he knows how to fly or he is going to bail out if any trouble appears?
Your plane is beatiful, waiting for the video of the mainden flight.
How much is the AUW?

Have smooth landings

Reto, you are amazing!

Alien Tech, that is a very nice looking Komet. I have some drawings of the DH Swallow and might try something similar if I can find the time and the foam! I have lots of Durobatic foam but no Depron and no convenient source right now.

Since I retired I can't seem to find time for anything. Mostly I just keep sending paperwork here and there and keep getting asked for more! It's not fair, I wanna relax!

Micro Gliders

Okay- IMHO Of all the planes in the world I think gliders are the coolest. And so by extrapolation RC gliders must be cooler than powered and of course, Micro Gliders must be even cooler than the biggies.

So why don't I have one? Maybe I'm just not cool enough? Bah! I must build one! It must have a Vee tail and be of 1 meter span and weigh less than 40g and be powered by 1s batt. Maybe even a small motor?

Here is a first effort toward such goal. Not bad, for a first scratch of the head. EPP fuse and wing but then covered in packing tape kinda lost any weight advantage there. Flew like a sack of flour. Well, maybe a half empty sack of flour.

Second wing on same fuse, 2g lighter but of 1 and 2mm depron. KFM 3. Wing lies ther lika a limp bizkit but when you load it up it assumes the beautiful shape. Glides like a dandelion seed on the wind while imaginary operas play in my head.

No carbon but I'm thinking maybe...

Might build wing on a form with precamber and carbon inside to give shape and maybe not so floppy moppy.

Anyhow, all up weight with batt will be somewhere around 30 grams, maybe a bit more but absolutely not more than 39.375g as this is a magic number for me. 118 square inches wing area, probably Vapor guts when I finally trash said aircraft by dogfight (with real dogs!)

Meanwhile I will build a new fuse and maybe wing out of depron. Ultimately must get 14 year old son to tow me up to great heights with his UM J-3.

Keep ya posted.

Added: Version Two with new depron fuse and tail. 1/2mmx3mm carbon in wing and two pieces in fuse (one vertical one horizontal) I would have used a carbon tube if one happened to be lying around. Then I could have run the pushrods internally. Maybe on the next one. Maybe the external pushrods will generate "beneficial turbulence."

Current weight of airframe is 26.5g still have to add pushrods and horns bu I think it will be well under the 39g limit.
