Miniscule percentages of price reduction doesn't do anything for me. If these shops want to appeal to people, let them eliminate shipping fees.
This shop mentioned here charges too much for shipping and I stopped buying from them. I bought some plastic parts for a heli and paid $9 shipping for $8 worth of parts.
I know shops get better shipping rates than I do, yet I can ship a complete heli from Oregon to NJ for less than $13.
It is simple: raise prices 5% across the board to cover s&h; that way, people will feel like they are getting a good deal.
I look at shipping costs whenever I shop before pulling the trigger on an online purchase. I also support my LHS first and foremost, even though it costs me ~ $5 to get there and back.
This may or may not be worth two cents.
