Why is it not possible to run 2 BL motors with 1 controller?
Why is it not possible to run 2 BL motors with 1 controller? Why is only Kontronik that is supposed to be able to do this? What would happen if I put 2 Mega 16/15/5 on one Phoenix 45? Would nothing happen? They just won't spin? There are a lot of twin aitplanes out there these days.

Patrick can give you the technical exacts on why Castle Creations controllers are not meant for this, but in layman's terms;
Our controllers "read" the electrical state of the motor and adjust automatically to them to run them the "best" way possible. When there are two motors in the mix, it "reads" them both, but expects only one. In practice, it actually is possible to run two, but you will see they will start together maybe 1/3 of the time, and the other 2 out of three times are VERY hard on the controller, and possibly the motors as well.
Kontronic, Jeti, and etc. are not as "smart" about what is going on w/the motor, and that is why they have less issues (not totally reliable or even recomended - just less issues) than ours.
