Luke, that's too cool!

Is that slope soaring with mild assistance from the IPS dd? If so, she handles the wind beautifully! Otherwise, is the air calm and that's just IPS dd performance? If so, that's still amazing how well she performs.

Actually, the wind was coming parallel to the slope, and the IPS was doing extra work... 15 MPH winds, I est... I have flown in up to 20-25 MPH... Not as much fun, but safely doable.

Here a couple stills...

Flying low over the waves... (Did this for a whole battery pack... Got so low that I had spray on the wings, and had to let them dry.)

Sure thing, excuse the much-repaired (and much requiring repair) tissue job.

Here is an overall view, showing the hybrid solid leading edge/spar construction of the wing. (The 'spar' running along the top of the ribs is actually just to keep the tissue from sagging, and doesn't really help much with the strength of the wing.)

Here is the bottom... The cutout is for battery installation, I like rapid turnaround time... (Think NASCAR pit-team.) It takes me about 45 seconds to remove a dead pack, and install a fresh one....

The gear is installed with the servos in the very front, receiver directly behind, battery behind that, and finally ESC in the aft-most compartment. Very tight!

Well, it isn't a glider, per say... Think of it as a plane that is clean enough to be a glider, but with a motor thrown on for good measure...(Thus it is a moto-glider) I usually don't do true gliding with it, as it is too much fun to use the motor, and fly aerobatics.
