Build Log
Stirling Tea Candle Boat

This is the design and build log of my Tea Candle powered boat.
I have a month to design and build a competitive boat to take part in the James family boat race. This year I have decided to go wild and build a Stirling engine to power my vessel. Previous years have been flash steam variations and they have done well but being up against experienced machinists and cheating bastards, this year I'm raising the bar.

The Stirling engine depends on temperature difference in the two cylinders to produce power. It is also know as a "Hot Air" engine.

My initial thought was to put the candle under the hot cylinder and dip the other one in the water to get the maximum temperature difference so every part of the design has to fit around that concept
