Help!
hitec optic 6 2.4 vs optic 6 sport 2.4

Not too many compares out there between these. Anyone have any firsthand experience with either? Trying to decide which to get...
Thanks

The Optic 6 has module capability and the sport is hard wired for 2.4. If you think there is any chance you would want to use someone else's modules and receivers, such as XPS or the cheap Chinese ones etc. then get an Optic 6(not sport). It will give you some flexibility. Such as using a JR/Spektrum module with Bind and Fly Spektrum models.

I see. And I won't so the sport is the way to go? Any other differences?
I see the sport has 10 model memory and the regular has 8. But the regular says you can name the models, the sport doesn't say???

The Optic 6 is far more capable than the Sport.

Sport has less mixes, lateral sliders missing, no module.

Is there any datasheet available? Current, sizes/dimensions, resolution servo, resolution display, weight etc.- especially for the "not Sport"

Thanks!

I have the Optic 6 with the 2.4GHz module.
I did a review of it here,

http://homepage.mac.com/kmyersefo/ampjul10/ampjul10.htm

I like it very much. The more I learned about it, the more I was glad I got that I didn't get the sport.

As in post #7 above....
Hitec Optic Sport 6-Channel Manuals, Tutorial & Comparison Charts and also
Hitec Optic

There is one extensive review of the Optic 6 "A Computer Radio Primer, Featuring the Hitec Optic 6" with video.
There is no similar, or in fact any, full review of the Optic Sport, only the comparison charts referred to above.

More features available (use search term "Optic") at

Thanks guys- but at least I can't find any of the data I've asked for.
I am just looking for a kind of sheet where all technical values are listed.

(Ok, I don't need the current anymore- it's about 130mA with Spectra, 80mA without)

More ideas?
