Got mine from RC the other day. I plan to install it in my mSR this weekend. Looking forward to my turbo-mSR.

I have "just a few" ...but under a magnifying glass noticed that some are (prudently) not usable - surprisingly, the teeth show a lot of wear. Those were on the best performing motors I had - obviously. Too bad they didn't all last that long!

Would be great if there was a new pinion source -- like BSD (who does have 10-teeth pinions).

It's really starting to let me down.

The small soft brass SP pinion is sliding through the base slot.
That slot is just a little over sized for the SP stock pinion gear.

Any experience out there with the Walkera Silver GP?

I have both and for what you are doing the Walkera one will work better.. Funny that for working on Walkera motors the GW/GP-MICRO works better..

As for now, MacGyver to the rescue.

Old saw blade with a dremel cutoff wheel slot cut into it.


If the pinion sits too close to the motor can this sweet needle nose plier pictured in pic#1 will easily slide the pinion to the top of the motor shaft.

Just one...for now. I had a new P-51 motor just sitting around, so I put it in my Champ. XP #2 & 3, are still going strong on their original motors, and my V2 w/P-51 motor is still going. When they start to fade, I will definitely go with the SP motors (if I don't go b/l).

I am reminded of GNR's Mr Brownstone: "I used ta do a little but a little wouldn't do it so the little got more and more."

Anyone have any RPM comparison data on the SP & XP motors?

what's the shaft OD for the SP motor? Still awaiting delivery of mine....

Just wanting to see if we can find replacement pinions, (9T).
