Thanks for the comments. He also flew P40's and P39's (in training-not combat).
Now back on topic. P47 engine start--this is why we love these planes! (Wife cannot understand why anyone would want to listen to an engine start!) This sounds really good on a home theater cranked up. (Apple TV).
