Thanks
The math doesn't work.... 28amps and 325watts??? That's 3 cells 11.6 volts, not 4s like you mentioned.

I apologize for not making this more clear...this is data with a 3 cell lipo. However, I am curious about the use of a 4 cell lipo and which props would be appropriate.

Brownie 433 had a question ..Here is my setup for the Thunder Power LiPo. Note the wooden block at the end of the LiPo. When I insert this LiPo, (wooden spacer first) the P-47 is perfectly balanced..

I fly my P-47 without the landing gear. Hand launch, recover in long grass.

Winter - all mods done - cannot fly .

Now I have upgraded the P47 to have a 65 A ESC and also a separate SBEC
from Dimension Engineering delivering 3,5 A to the receiver what ever happens to the ESC /Motor...

Tried the setup on a 4 cell battery and yikes what a pull there is in it.
The 3 cell full throttle is the same as 4 cell throttle.
If the motor will survive it - who knows. Now I can at least bring the bird down in a safe manner even if the motor have gone...

Now - if the weather would be so king to let me try out all the goodies ..
But no - it is currently -15 C outside and 40 cm of snow.
Be glad the ones of you who live in a fly year around climate and stop complaining.

I guess I will take my Fun Cub with Skis on for a spin tomorrow
Only would like to have more skis to fir all the planes with them.
Good flying out there - Chris from Sweden.

Chris, I feel your pain as I too, am suffering from lack of flying withdrawls. What prop are you using a 4 cell with and do you know the current pulled?

Time has come, flew her today and a wisp of branch caught the right wingtip swinging her around into some trees. She was about 40 feet up with no way to climb, smoked it several times with some rocks and got her down. The time has come to fill and remake her up, I have stripped all of the decals off the plane and will sand and fill her and then repaint. I already had a brand new wing. Need a new hatch and they are backordered! Going to fill, sand, and then paint the old to use for in flight videos.

Already have my mind set on making her Chief Ski U Mah

Walter, you are very talented (and patient)! I've followed along with your UM and full size T-28 and now the Jug. I love the detail you put into all your planes. Keep up the good work!

thanks! i love the details on these planes. all the little touches help to hide the fact its a foamy. on the ground she looks much more like aluminum now. with some good music playing i actually think its quite relaxing.

stock panel lines filled with pastel dust and a small paint brush. panel lines drawn and rivets with extra fine tip sharpie. small flexable metal ruler for straight edges. round 2 tonight for the bottom. i only had a larger size silver pen when i started the cockpit rivets. there too big. so im going to paint over those big silver rivets with flat black and get another fine tip silver sharpie.

Cool.

I was thinking about a foam block to help with CG.

Good tip.

It's 12 degrees out

I need mother nature give us a break - maybe 30 degrees and lower winds for a day

The snow is gone (for now), so I'm itching to fly.

How do you sand the Z foam smooth, it got a little fuzzy on me redoing the fuse. I got the dings filled with spackle, maybe need to get some finer sandpaper.
