+1 on the Eflite retracts. No problem installing, and they served me faithfully with zero malfunction.

I also got the pre-bent struts. They needed a little bit of adjusting though.

You need to make sure your wheels are straight, no toe in or toe out. This is why I needed to adjust the struts. I fly off grass so toe in or out creates just enough resistance to make the thing nose over on taxi.

I recommmend raking the gear forward to counter the nose over tendency if you fly off grass. Just put 2-3 #4 dubro vinyl washers (I thing they are #4) under the rear gear mounting screws.

Off grass: Always taxi full stick back and give your elevator 125% throw, 150% if you can (DX6i only goes to 125%).

Good luck, it is an awesome plane, a good confidence builder and tough as heck.

I have the Changesun retracts. No issues at all. PERRRFECT. I couldn't bring my self to pay $80-100 on retracts for this plane. I mean I paid $225 for the plane. LOL. My opinion anyway.

I have had both sides of the coin with the cheap retracts, out of 4 sets, one leg was DOA so down to 3 sets and a spare, one set lasted 60 flights and both died within a few flights of each other and the other 2 are still going after 100+ flights per set. My E-flite ones that I have in my PZ Spit' and Jug are all running perfect after 200+ flights. I fly off grass 90% of the time.

My Eflite retracts have lasted through many flights, a number of hard grass and asphalt landings, and a few crashes. A couple of weeks ago I crashed pretty bad, broken up fuse, motor, wing tips, etc. After repairs and a few flights later, a rough grass landing and we saw the plane heal over and something came off. The retract was fine but the plastic mounting tray in the wing ripped out . Glued it back in at the field and flew again no problems. Last weekend a bunch of landings and the last one same thing as before but this time the right side plastic wing gear mount ripped out. Repaired, and she's all good again. Eflite retracts, good as new!
Check the wing mount gear holder fellas.

The used ones I mailed you never had a hick up, so if they fail, it's your TX or receiver or wiring... good luck with them.
