If you add a zero does it really count?

Hi Guys

Possibly a silly question, but when you do a different paint scheme on your planes, do you just paint over the existing paint or take off the original paint first, and if you take it off, what is the best method ?

Taking the old paint off is a hassle so I just primer over and paint. I'm in the middle of redoing mine right now. The original paint holds horrible, but with the primer in seems better.

Prop Experiment

Hi Everyone,

My stock prop was damaged in a crash so I replaced it with the parkzone T28 prop (9.5x7.5). This prop was working great, but I decided that I wanted to try something with more speed.

Based on recommendation from my LHS, I tried an APC 9x9. Results were horrible. When I tried to hand launch, the prop didn't generate enough thrust and I almost crashed into the ground. This happened twice. I never had this issue with the stock prop or the T28 prop.

Next I'm going to try a MAS 10x8 on both 3s and 4s packs. Will update tomorrow.

new guy the APC prop has a much narrower blade so while it is as long and has as much or more pitch, it needs to spin faster to move the same quantity of air that the FAT PZ blades move.... hope that helps.

Captn, are you sure the prop wasn't on backwards? As embarrassing as that sounds it happens all the time.

This plane flies great without using flaps. Had a nice flight yesterday and chunked a video together.

A morning sortie (11 min 12 sec)

Thanks! I tried to keep it subdued at first and just look around. Towards the end I started getting down and dirty with it. I was playing with the idea of doing limbo with one of the soccer goals, but I couldn't muster the gumption.
