I may have to pick one of these up. I already have a spare 60 amp eflite speed control, parred up with a cc bec and this scorpion motor it should be crazy fast. Unfortunately this motor pulls 45 amps continuous and my batteries only give around 44 amp continuous so new batteries it is .

4 SV80 servos = $11.39*4 = $45.56
Thunderbird 36 = $40 or so

Only leaves $20 for the motor if you want to match their price for PNP. Oh well, probably just buy the PNP.
When I got my F4F it had the works, everything but the electronics. I had to use spacers for the motor I chose but other than that it was pretty much the entire airframe.Brutus P.S. If it flies half as good as the F4F it will be a keeper!

Hey Dave in response to the comment in the other thread about the limited bec output for this plane and that buyers should be warned when getting the FLAPS and RETRACTS
Quote:
There is going to be some serious issues with this bird and the BEC, I hope they warn buyers that if they intended to add the FLAP option and E-Retracts that they are going to NEED to also get a BEC
you said.

BUT yet E-Flite says

It drives up to 5 analog or 4 digital sub-micro servos with the BEC on any recommended input voltage.
Since the Hobby recommendation as always been more then 4servo to use external BEC. Last time I check 4 servo plus 2 more for flaps and 2 retracts exceed the E-Flite recommendation.

Nice HH! But unless they come out with a battery hatch with a Razorback extention to the tail, I'll pass.

On that note, I'm sure someone after market will do it, but I agree that would be great to have had a battey hatch option to go razor.....best of both worlds and everybody is happy !!

Has Dr. Evil weighed in this matter yet?

I wonder if an UNPAINTED replacement airframe will be available ala the Habu?

I love the P-47, but would prefer to do my own paint scheme--something that isn't quite so bland.

Doubtful. You can just order the standard replacement airframe and paint over it. They also usually come with decals pre-applied too. Both my P-51 and BF-109 airframes did.
