* Beginner Settings

I custom made these curves at Hellraser's request.
Switching between the 3 modes in flight is very smooth. There is no height change switching between the modes.
I tried inches of the ground, a foot off the ground, waist level, and 6 feet up.

Tom Z,
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
I used your settings and my Genius CP V2 went from frustrating to a joy to fly...
Now if you'll excuse me... I have hours of flying to catch up on...
From the bottom of my transmitter,
Thanks!

I originally asked this in the Super CP thread, but it got lost in the shuffle. I am currently using your beginner settings for the Devo 7....

What are the thoughts on adding a little expo on the throttle/pitch? I am just learning CP with my SCP, and it seems like the bird is really sensitive to throttle/pitch when I am using the rudder. I am trying to learn to pinch the throttle stick like I do with the right stick, but I thought a little expo might help.

No, I did start to make one but never finished it due to all the other setup guides I was working on plus my web site too.

Your welcome!
I'm glad the settings helped you out.

Expo on the throttle and pitch curves just smooths out certain types of curves. It isn't going to be like EXPO on aileron, elevator and rudder channels.
Expo on throttle and pitch curves is either on or off for the Devo Tx, you can't adjust the amount of it.

Here are a couple posts that explain it in more detail for you even though they are for the DX7/8, the same thing applies for the Devo transmitter.

Thread temporarily closed.
Updating setup guides and links, deleting old posts, rearranging order of posts.

Also I posted all my models for the deviation firmware on the deviation web site. I am not going to post them here.
